NHPC Ltd has announced the Commercial Operation Date (CoD) for Unit 1 (250 MW) of the 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project, effective from midnight on March 20, 2026.
With this development, three units—Unit 1, Unit 2, and Unit 3—are now operational. The company added that the CoD for the remaining units will be declared in due course as the project moves toward achieving its full installed capacity across Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
